MASOC Launches Second KL2017 Theme Song

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 1 (Bernama) -- The Malaysian SEA Games Organising Committee (MASOC) launched one of three theme songs for the 29th SEA Games and 9th ASEAN Para Games (KL2017) Monday. A MASOC statement said the song "Tunjuk Belang" (Show your stripes) is sung by three famous local artists namely loQue, Azlan (The Typewriter) and maliQue. The four-minute song was written and produced by loQue while famous rap singer maliQue contributed to the lyrics and the rap elements. "loQue, also known as monoloQue, was the founder and former main composer of the music group Butterfly. His works with the group won several nominations at the Malaysian Music Industry Awards (AIM). "His musical tendency which is archipelagical in nature makes his work in the "Tunjuk Belang” song suitable for different KL2017 spectators’ tastes around the region," said the statement. -- BERNAMA
