Land Thermal Exercise Series 23 Helps to Strengthen Malaysia-Thai Operation

PENGKALAN HULU (Perak), Aug 3 (Bernama) -- The nine-day Land Thamal Exercise Series 23/2017 held since July 26 is aimed at strengthening and improving the level of border operation between Thailand and Malaysia. Thai Royal Army Fifth Infantry Division commandant Maj Gen Sittiporn Musikasin said the exercise helped them to better understand their responsibilities. “I am confident the exercise provide opportunities for the army personnel to enrich the knowledge by learning from each other ‘s experience,” he said. He was speaking at the closing of the exercise at the 3rd Battalion Border Regiment at the Pengkalan Hulu Camp here Wednesday. The exercise involved about 200 army personnel from Thailand and Malaysia. Also present were Malaysia’s Second Infantry Division commander Maj Gen Mohd Ramli Jaafar, 30th Infantry Brigade commander Brig Gen Ahmad Tajuddin Abdul Ghani and 5th Infantry Regiment commander Col Woradet Detrugsa.
