Six workers presumed buried alive in construction accident

SEOUL, Feb. 15 (Yonhap) -- At least six construction workers were presumed buried
alive on Sunday when a construction site in the southern outskirts of Seoul caved
in during excavation, police said.
The accident took place early Sunday morning after a stone embankment collapsed
at a construction site for a corporate research center in Pangyo, which is being
developed as a new satellite city of Seoul, said police.
Shortly after the accident, four workers were rescued, with one of them in
critical condition, they noted.
A total of 10 construction workers were working at the time of the accident, they
said, speculating the six missing workers were buried alive. Rescue operations
are still underway, they added.
