The opening ceremony for the 2017 Gwangju Design Biennale is held in Gwangju, 329 kilometers south of Seoul, on Sept. 7, 2017. The biennale will be held from Sept. 8 to Oct. 23, featuring design for a future creative society. The "Nine Column" structure featured in the photo is the landmark piece for this year's biennale.
