Tonton Offers Outdoor Channel Asia Beginning October

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 8 (Bernama) -- Malaysia's pioneer over-the-top (OTT) content player, Media Prima Television Networks’ (MPTN) tonton, will offer Outdoor Channel Asia in early October. Director of tonton and Licensing and Merchandising Airin Zainul said seven million customers would gain access to Outdoor Channel Asia, a channel dedicated to showcasing lifestyles and entertainment programmes. “The channel is available globally in more than 45 million households, including almost 10 million in Asia,” she said in a statement Thursday. Outdoor Channel Asia would be loaded with first runs and exclusive combination of action, adventure, survival and entertainment programmes seen through the eyes of outdoor personalities. Airin said tonton offered linear channel and over 30,000 hours of catch-up and premium video content. “With more than seven million users to date, 80 per cent of our offerings are of local content and it continues to add over 22,000 new members every week,” she added. -- BERNAMA
