Technical Issue Affects Check-In Systems Of Some Airlines At Changi Airport

SINGAPORE, Sept 29 (Bernama) -- Changi Airport has issued an advisory saying that a technical issue is affecting the check-in systems of some airlines. “The check-in process may take longer as manual boarding passes have to be issued. We appreciate your patience on this matter,” it said in the advisory posted on its Facebook about an hour ago (7 pm). Quoting a spokesperson for the airport, Channel NewsAsia reported that airlines affected include Singapore Airlines, Qantas and Lufthansa. According to its website, Thursday, a flight takes off or lands at Changi Airport approximately once every 100 seconds. Over 100 airlines are flying to some 380 cities in about 80 countries and territories worldwide from Singapore. -- BERNAMA
