Qatari-Indonesian Optimism Surrounds Economic Forum in Jakarta

Jakarta, October 18 (QNA) - A number of Qatari and Indonesian executives and businessmen expressed their optimism towards the results of the Qatar-Indonesia Economic Forum organized by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade in Indonesia on Wednesday in Jakarta. They expressed their satisfaction towards the topics discussing investment opportunities in both countries, bilateral meetings that introduced the available projects and available investments and cooperation possibilities between businessmen and companies from both sides, which, in turn, contributes to the development of current trade and economic relations and boosting them towards other fields. Hassad Food Chief Executive Officer Mohamed bin Badr Al Sada said the forums the Ministry of Economy and Commerce organized in Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia represent a qualitative leap in developing the relations between these countries and the State of Qatar in the economic, trade and investment fields, especially that these forums will clearly contribute to the development of the relations between Qatari companies and the countries. Al Sada said the Qatar-Indonesia Economic Forum held a number of useful workshops and meetings, all of which are aimed at developing relations between Qatari companies and businessmen with their Indonesian counterparts. Chief Executive Officer of Economic Zones (Manateq) Fahad Rashid Al Kaabi expressed his delight with the presence of the businessmen, investors and traders in Indonesia, referring to the promising investment opportunities found in both countries. Al Kaabi added the meeting held in the forum revealed great and serious understanding from the Indonesian investors and the bilateral meetings between the Qatari and Indonesian investors showed the presence of many investment opportunities will see the light in the near future. Businessman Bader Mostafawi said the Qatar-Indonesia Economic Forum provided big opportunities for Qatari businessmen to meet with their Indonesian counterparts and explore cooperation and partnership options provided by both countries' economies. From their side, a number of Indonesian businessmen and investors expressed their content for participating in the forum, where an Indonesian businesswoman working in the fashion industry said the forum helped introduces the investment fields in the State of Qatar adding that the State of Qatar is strongly developing making her and other businessmen interested to explore investment opportunities and trade partnerships with their Qatari counterparts. Meanwhile, an Indonesian managing director from a food export and import company said she participated in the forum to introduce her company, looks forward to develop it further, explore trade cooperation opportunities with Qatari companies and benefit from investment opportunities in Qatar. The managing director said she was introduced to Qatari projects through the forum workshops which revealed the volume of the projects in the infrastructure and other sectors, in addition to the logistical support Qatar Airways and Hamad Port provide. In addition, an Indonesian businessman praised the forum, which represents an important step in strengthening the developed relations between Qatar and Indonesia, expressing his hope that the forum will be a positive addition that supports partnerships with the private sector in many fields in both countries.
