HM King gives Royal Fire for ceremonies on Royal Cremation Day

BANGKOK, Oct 19 (TNA) - His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn gave the Royal Fire to Prime Minister for distribution to all provinces and Thai missions overseas for the ceremonies on the Royal Cremation Day of his father. After presiding over the raising of the Nine-Tiered Great White Umbrella of State to the top of the Royal Crematorium at Sanam Luang yesterday to mark the end of the construction, His Majesty the King granted an audience to Gen Prayut Chan-ocha, Bangkok governor, provincial governors and the permanent secretary for foreign affairs at the Dusit Palace and gave the Royal Fire for the Royal Cremation ceremonies of His Majesty late King Bhumibol to be held on Oct 26. The prime minister later conducted the ceremony to distribute the Royal Fire at Government House on the same day. The Royal Fire will be used in the Royal Cremation ceremonies at 85 royal crematorium replicas across the country and 94 venues abroad. (TNA)
