Co-working space business is booming

BANGKOK, Oct 28 (TNA) -- Office buildings in Bangkok are benefiting from the growth of co-working space business. Yupa Sathienpabayut, head of office leasing at JLL Co, said coworking space business was emerging in Thailand and increasing demand in the office building market in Bangkok. Many co-working space operators at regional and global levels were keen to enter Bangkok, looking for 1,000-3,000 square meters in grade A office buildings near electric railways. “The operators want partnerships with building owners and offer profit sharing in exchange for low rents. However, such proposals are new to the owners of buildings in Bangkok. Most of them still want their full rent rates amid the undersupply of grade A office buildings,” Ms Yupa said. Co-working space is opened to general visitors who are charged with hourly, daily, monthly or long-term fees. It is fully equipped and most customers are startups and freelancers. Large-scaled companies and organizations in some countries have started to send staff of some departments to coworking space to meet outside professionals and increase their motivation. (TNA)
