People pay respects to late King at Wat Ratchabophit
BANGKOK, Oct 30 (TNA) – People have travelled to Wat Ratchabophit Sathit Maha Simaram to pay respects to His Majesty late King Bhumibol Adulyadej outside the ordination hall where his royal ashes were enshrined.
After the cremated ashes of the late king was transferred to be enshrined inside the base of Phra Buddha Angkheeros, the principal statue in the temple's main hall, today, public members came to the temple to offer garlands in front of King Bhumibol’s portrait outside the Ubosot or the ordination hall of the temple.
However, they are not allowed to go inside the main hall. The temple is opened for flower offering for the late King until 5 pm.
After the end of the royal cremation ceremony yesterday, people started to wear other colours instead of black while temples and government offices removed black and white clothing decorations to mark the end of the mourning period. (TNA)
