Qatar Discusses the Financial and Banking Cooperation with Tajikistan

Dushanbe, November 01 (QNA) - HE Qatar Central Bank (QCB) Governor Sheikh Abdullah bin Saoud Al-Thani discussed with officials from Tajikistan, ways to strengthen the joint cooperation especially in the financial and banking sectors. During his visit to Tajikistan, HE the QCB governor met with HE First Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Said Davlatali where they discussed the joint cooperation between both countries in the financial and banking sectors. HE the QCB governor also met with HE Chairman of the National Bank of Tajikistan Jamshed Nurmahmadzoda and discussed the ways and methods to strengthen the joint cooperation between both sides through activating the memorandum of understanding signed between both parties on Feb. 6th, 2017 in Doha. They also reviewed a presentation on developing the Islamic financial services. The meetings were attended by HE Qatar's Ambassador to Tajikistan Ali bin Mubarak Al Mohannadi, in addition, HE the governor was accompanied by HE Director of QCB's Financial Stability and Statistics Department Sheikh Khalid bin Saud Al-Thani and a number of QCB officials. HE the governor was also accompanied by the CEO of Qatar International Islamic Bank (QIIB) and the CEO of Masraf Al Rayan. (QNA)
