People flock to see Royal Cremation exhibition

BANGKOK, Nov 4 (TNA) -- A large numbers of people early Saturday rushed to see an ongoing exhibition on the Royal Crematorium for their beloved, respected His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej at Bangkok’s Sanam Luang Ceremonial Ground. Those who failed to witness the Royal Cremation on October 26 will now have an opportunity to visit and see the spellbinding Royal Cremation and exhibition at the pavilions inside the compound until November 30. All the five screening checkpoints to the exhibition site were opened as early as 6am. Officials manning security asked people to show their identification card. About 3,000 of people are allowed to enter the site each round and they are requested to view the exhibition between 45 to 60 minutes. An alarming bell will be heard five minutes before they are asked to leave the site so that the next round of viewers could enter the exhibition area. Concerned officials have asked the people to refrain from collecting ‘mementoes’ from the Royal Cremation area so that they could be stored in the museum for the next generation to see. His Majesty the late King passed away on October 13, 2016. (TNA)
