"Genius platform" developed to promote Thai Muslim products on world market

BANGKOK, November 10 (TNA) - The government, through the Border Provinces Administration Center (SBPAC), has worked together with all relevant parties to jointly develop a "genius platform" to particularly promote unique Muslim products in the Thai Far South on the world market, where there are more than 2.2 billion Muslim consumers. SBPAC Deputy Secretary-General Rear Admiral Somkiat Phonprayoon led a team of representatives from relevant parties, including those in the local business sector and sponsors, as well as a group of younger generations, to sign a memorandum of cooperation on the development of the local economy and quality of life of people in the Muslim predominant Thai Far South at Bangkok's Government House on November 10. Rear Admiral Somkiat explained that the "genius platform" will be developed under a public project on household economy, launched by the Thai government and in line with the contemporary global development trend, aimed mainly to publicize and promote unique, outstanding and quality Muslim goods produced in the Thai Deep South internationally. Rear Admiral Somkiat noted that ago-industrial goods produced by modeled cities in the government-supported Security, Prosperity and Sustainability Triangle in the Thai border region, will also be identically publicized and promoted globally under the "genius platform", with an official target on getting the Thai Muslim products regularly accessible to over 2.2 billion Muslim consumers worldwide over the next few years. Besides, the "genius platform" will provide more opportunities for local traders and their foreign counterparts to meet for their business matching purpose to expand their trade and investment dimensions both on the domestic market and the world market in the future. According to the SBPAC deputy chief, the "genius platform" is expected to concretely turn the violence-plagued Thai Far South to be a developed region in line with late His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej's ideology and the government's Thailand 4.0 Policy. "A slowdown economy in the Thai Far South for the past serveral years has been caused mainly by frequent violent incidents in the southernmost region and the government, thus, expects that the Security, Prosperity and Sustainability Triangle it has established in the Deep South, where the modern e-commerce system is being promoted, will stimulate the economic growth in the southern border region in the coming years", said the SBPAC deputy chief.
