No Thais affected by SKorea quake

BANGKOK, Nov 16 (TNA) – No Thai nationals were affected by South Korea quake yesterday, said the Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Foreign Affairs Ministry spokesperson Busadee Santipitaks quoted the Thai embassy in Seoul as reporting that no Thais, living in South Korea were affected by the 5.4-magnitude quake, that rocked the southeastern city of Pohang in the province of North Gyeongsang at 14.29 (local time). Several aftershocks were reported, including the strongest one with a magnitude of 4.6. A nuclear power plant in the vicinity was not impacted by the tremors, which were felt as far as Seoul hundreds of kilometers away. No deaths have been reported. As of Thursday morning, 57 people were injured, according to the South Korea's Ministry of the Interior and Safety. (TNA, Agencies)
