Qatar's Minister of Economy and Commerce Meets Turkey's Minister of Economy

Istanbul, November 22 (QNA) - HE Minister of Economy and Commerce Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani met Wednesday with Turkey's Minister of Economy Nihat Zeybekci, on the sidelines of their participation of the meetings of the Standing Committee on Economic and Commercial Cooperation (COMCEC). They discussed bilateral relations and facets of joint cooperation, particularly in economic and investment and commerce fields. They also discussed ways to enhance cooperation. The State of Qatar and Turkey are bound by strong economic ties that reflected positively on trade balance in the first half of 2017. Trade volume reached QR2 billion, or $547 million. The two countries have also signed a number of commerce agreements and Memorandums of Understanding to protect investments. COMCEC meeting today will discuss a wide range of topics concerning the member countries. One of them is improving trade routes passing through the borders of the members. They will also discuss the latest global economic developments, as well as ways to enhance trade. (QNA)
