Miss Thailand among the last five finalists at Miss Universe pageant

BANGKOK, Nov 27 (TNA) -Miss Thailand Universe Mareeya Poonlertlarp ended her contest at the Miss Universe 2017 as one of the five last shortlisted contestants at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casinoin the United States where contestants from 92 countries were present. Miss South Africa Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters was crowned Miss Universe 2017. She is South Africa’s first Miss Universe in almost 40 years. Miss Colombia Laura Gonzalez is the first runner-up and Miss Jamaica is the second runner-up. Mareeya Poonlertlarp or Maria Lynn Eriksen is Thai-Swedish. She graduated in the Netherlands and obtained a master’s degree in marketing in Sweden. She has been a model since she was 13 years old. She was crowned Miss Thailand Universe 2017 before joining the Miss Universe pageant in the US. (TNA)
