Sultan of Johoor visits Bahrain National Theatre

Manama, Nov. 28 (BNA): His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar the Sultan and Sovereign Ruler of the State and Territory of Johor Darul Ta'zim in Malaysia visited the Bahrain National Theatre. Deputy Premier Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al-Khalifa, Deputy Premier Shaikh Khalid bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa and other ministers welcomed HM Sultan of Johor, who is on visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain at the invitation of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al-Khalifa underlined the Kingdom’s keenness on building bridges of communication with other peoples all over the world. She expressed delight at receiving HM Sultan of Johor at the Bahrain National Theatre which, she said, symbolizes Bahrain’s keenness on promoting cultural exchanges through world art events. HM Sultan Ibrahim hailed Bahrain’s civilizational heritage, stressing his country’s desire to develop cultural ties. He toured the theatre and was briefed about the exhibition showcasing artworks by Iraqi artist Mehdi Moutashar, running until February 28. He was also informed about BACA preparations to mark the National Days in December and Muharraq Capital of Islamic Culture 2018.
