Thailand Int'l Motor Expo 2017 set Nov 30-Dec 11

BANGKOK, November 30 (TNA) - The Thailand International Motor Expo 2017, the 34th of its kind, is held at the IMPACT Trade and Exhibition Center, Challenger Hall 1-3, in Muang Thong Thani on the outskirts of Bangkok during November 30-December 11, with total auto sale expected to exceed 50 billion baht. Chalatchai Papatpong, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the event, told journalists on November 29 that the 12-day auto expo, focused on the concept of "new auto models with a long-vision-dream become reality", is likely to attract about 1.5 million international visitors. Chalatchai said highlighted auto models to be introduced at the expo include electric and environmentally-friendly vehicles, or eco cars, of various global manufacturers, namely those from European, Japanese and Chinese firms. According to the vice chair of the organizing committee of the event, purchase orders of vehicles of new models, including Bigbikes, to be shown at the 12-day expo, covering those locally produced and imported, are expected to reach about 47,000 units, totally worth over 50 billion baht or 0.9-1.1 million baht on average for each unit.(TNA)
