Frozen dew draws tourists to the North
CHIANG MAI, Dec 1 (TNA) – Tourists in northern provinces enjoy cold winter with frozen dew in the morning.
Rung Hirunwong, head of Doi Inthanon national park in Chiang Mai said that the temperature at Kiew Mae Phan viewpoint dropped to the lowest at 3 degrees Celsius today and the grass minimum temperature was zero degrees Celsius. Frozen dew on Doi Inthanon, attracting more tourists to the national park. On Nov 30 alone, Doi Inthanon reported 2,122 visitors and 23,255 people for the whole month of November, he said.
Meanwhile, frozen dew also occurred on Doi Mon Laan in Phrao district. Yotsawat Tiensawad, head of the Sri Lanna national Park Conservation area said tourists flocked to see sunrise and the sea of fog in the morning.
Doi Mon Laan is 1,695 metres high above the sea level. Visitors on the top of the mountain can see 360 degree view of two province of Chiang Mai’s Phrao district and Chiang Rai’s Wieng Papao เวียงป่าเป้า district. (TNA)
