PM donates to Toon’s charity run

BANGKOK, Dec 4 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha donated to the Kao Kon La Kao charity run project of rocker Toon Bodyslam and thanked him for his contribution to the public interest. Gen Prayut happily met the delegation of Artiwara “Toon” Kongmalai before the cabinet meeting in the morning. The prime minister said he had followed and supported Toon’s charity run since it had been launched to raise a fund for Bang Saphan Hospital in Prachuap Khiri Khan. He praised Toon for the latest and much farther charity run from the South to the North to raise a fund for 11 state hospitals, saying Toon was a role model for others. “The government has been allocating budgets for public health projects. It is good for Toon to help. I would like Toon to tell people that the government is also funding public health projects while having to allocate budgets to other areas of work,” Gen Prayut said. The prime minister also advised Toon to take good care of his own health. Toon said his charity run projects could happen thanks to support from Thai people and he realized the generosity of Thai people along his running routes where people were donating. He then received donations from the prime minister, ministers and Government House officials and happily talked to the people who welcomed him there. (TNA)
