Trang governor to propose long-term flood solution to PM

TRANG, Dec 6 (TNA) – Trang governor plans to propose the long-term solution to Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha during the premier’s visit to the province on Friday. Trang governor, Siripat Patthakul will seek the budget to tackle flooding in the province when the prime minister will follow up the flood situation and distribute relief supplies to flood victims in Trang. So far, flood remains in five districts and has eased in three others. Local authorities mobilized water pumps to areas, facing two metre deep flood. Meanwhile, in Phatthalung province, the provincial seat's municipality braced for massive water from Kongra district, which will arrive at the provincial seat this afternoon. Local residents were alerted by authorities. About 20 schools are closed due to flooding. (TNA)
