Motor Expo sales expected to hit target
BANGKOK, Dec 8 (TNA) – The Motor Expo 2017 has reached half of its schedule and its organiser is confident it will strike its sales and visitors’ targets.
Organiser of 34th Motor Expo, Kwanchai Paphatphong said from Nov 29 to Dec 5, the expo sold 16,568 automobiles and sport-utility vehicles made the biggest sales category (32.9% of total sales), followed by sedans (25%) and pickups (18.3%)
The expo was expected to draw 1.5 million visitors and sell 40,000 vehicles and 7,000 motorcycles.
The brand with the highest orders is Honda with 3,200 ordered units, followed by 1,972 Toyota vehicles, and 1,920 Mazda units. For motorcycles, 3,709 units were ordered with 570 GPXs forming the biggest proportion, followed by 450 Kawasaki bikes, and 402 Honda motorcycles.
Mr Kwanchai said sales would be normally more than double during the second half period of the exposition which would continue until Dec 11. (TNA)
