FIRST FOOTBALL ACADEMY OPENED IN BAKU

Baku, 24 February (AzerTAc). The First Football Academy was inaugurated in Baku on
February 23.
President of AFFA (Azerbaijan Football Federations Association) Rovnag Abdullayev
and UEFA vice-president Senez Erzik congratulated the ceremony participants and
stressed the opening of the academy would play a great role in development of
Azerbaijan`s football.
Foundation laying ceremony of the academy held in 2008 with participation of FIFA
President Joseph Blatter and UEFA President Michel Platini.
Meanwhile, 60 percent of the funding came from UEFA and 40 percent from AFFA.
