Two suspects in Yala bus burning detained

YALA, Dec 19 (TNA) - The police detain two suspects in connection with the burning of Bangkok-bound passenger bus while it was running in Yala’s Bannang Sata district on Dec 17. One of the detainees is a shop owner, selling gasoline in bottles near the bus torching site. According to witnesses, militants gathered at the shop before they carried out the attack. The other detainee is a woman, who is believed to bring clothes to those insurgents for changing. Both suspects are being questioned at the 21st ranger regiment in Yala’s Raman district. About ten armed stopped the passenger bus and forced all on board to leave the bus before they torched the empty vehicle. No one was hurt in the incident. (TNA)
