Crowds of travelers flock Hua Lamphong railway station

BANGKOK, Dec 29 (TNA) -- The Hua Lamphong Railway Terminus is crowded with travelers who are leaving Bangkok for New Year holidays. Large numbers of train passengers showed up in the morning mainly to travel back to their home provinces to celebrate the New Year with families. The huge outbound traffic is expected to continue until Dec 30. The State Railway of Thailand copes by providing advanced ticket reservations and deploying more trains on northeastern routes to meet travelers’ demand. Police and security officials heavily guard Hua Lamphong to prevent crime among crowds of travelers. Officials set up booths to advise passengers on safe trips and give them free physical checkups before their travel. (TNA)
