BMA to mark National Children's Day 2018

BANGKOK, Jan 8 (TNA) -- The Bangkok Metropolitan Adminstration (BMA) has announced that it will be organising 2018 National Children's Day starting on Friday January 12. Bangkok Governor Pol Gen Aswin Kwanmuang told a press conference today to announce this year's National Children Day which officially falls this Saturday and will be held at the Wachirabenchathat Park or State Railway Public Park from 8am to 4.30pm. The governor said that an exhibition highlighting more than 20 BMA departments will be held alongside special games designed for children's development. Pol Gen Aswin also confirmed that as of Friday January 12 the BMA Head office will be organising a tour of the Amorn Phimarn Room, which is the office of the Governor of Bangkok. For schools in the capital, Children will be allowed to sit at his official desk and at the same time national prize winning works by school children will be showcased. Special honorary certificates will also be bestowed upon outstanding children. More than 20,000 presents valued at more than 1 million baht have been prepared as well as allowing children to visit Bangkok Governor's office and given the privilege of sitting at his desk. On top of this, the BMA will also be organising the National Children's Day Weekend from January 12 - 21 at its all of its 35 Youth Centres around Bangkok. This is to ensure that every child can be part of the celebrations. (TNA)
