Passenger service charge unchanged

BANGKOK, Jan 17 (TNA) -- Airports of Thailand Plc (AoT) affirms it does not raise the passenger service charge (PSC) at its six airports and the old rates of 700 baht for international flight passengers and 100 baht for domestic flight passengers remain in effect. AoT president Nitinai Sirismatthakarn sent the message and denied the alleged fee rise on social media. He said that the old rates imposed since 2006 continued and there was not a proposal to raise the charges. He said the law allows airport operators to spend PSC on acquiring and improving facilities and keeping airport security in compliance with international standard. AoT had spent PSC with transparency on expanding the capacities of passenger terminals and improving the technologies of its airports, Mr Nitinai said. (TNA)
