Doha Takaful Convert to a Limited Liability Company

Doha, January 21 (QNA) - Doha Insurance group announced that Qatar Central Bank has given approval to transform the group's branch "Doha Takaful" to a limited liability company. Doha Insurance said in a press release on Sunday that the procedure comes as an interim period to eventually transition "Doha Takaful" to a public shareholding company in the future. The extraordinary general meeting of the general assembly approved last March the liquidation of the Islamic branch of Doha Insurance, and the conversion of the branch to a limited joint stock company after the approval of Qatar Central Bank.
