Iran exports $183m home appliances

Tehran, Jan 24, IRNA – Iran has exported $183m home appliances in 9 months of the current Iranian calendar year (slated to end on March 20, 2018), head of industrial and mineral exports development of Trade Promotion Organization of Iran said. The products were exported to Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Tajikistan, Turkey and Italy, Masoud Kamali Ardakani said. Asian countries and Italy also expressed readiness for importing home appliances, he added. The products consisted of refrigerator, stove, washing machine, evaporative cooler and sewing machine, he noted. Italy, Iraq and Afghanistan are the most important target markets for Iranian home appliances. Home appliances are electrical/mechanical machines which accomplish some household functions, such as cooling or heating, cooking or cleaning. Home appliances can be divided into three categories, which include: Major appliances, or white goods, small appliances and consumer electronics, or brown goods in regions with UK influence. 138/IRN
