Fund for EV charging stations

BANGKOK, Feb 1 (TNA) – The government offers funding for agencies, organisation and companies to install electric vehicle (EV) charging stations in March in an attempt to speed up the adoption of electric vehicles in Thailand. President of Electric Vehicles Association of Thailand (EVAT), Yossapong Laoonual said the Energy Policy and Planning Office (EPPO) assigned the association to boost investment in EV facilities at government offices, state enterprises and the private sector. The project is supported by the Energy Conservation Fund (Encon Fund) to build 150 EV charging stations this year. So far, 21 stations have been installed at shopping malls such as Terminal 21, Crystal Design Centre, Central World as well as CP tower and the Sofitel Hotel. Under the plan, it plans to install additional 31 charging stations this month.
