Dak Cheung has new hospital

(KPL) Dak Chung district, Sekong province, held a handover ceremony for a hospital constructed with a financial assistance from Quang Nam province, Vietnam.
Present at the handover ceremony on Wednesday were Acting Chief of Dak Chung district, Mrs. Chanhome Mahasay, Head of Quang Nam Military Headquarter, Col. Duong Hoai Nam, and Deputy Secretary General of Sekong Provincial Party and relevant officials of Laos and Vietnam and local authorities and people.
The construction started in April last year and complete in August the same year with the grant of 1.3 billion kip. The health facility constitutes an effort in expanding health infrastructure in the province for servicing ethnic people in the province. The hospital has 22 beds.
Besides the assistance from Vietnam, the district also receives assistance from the United States and Australia for constructing another two hospitals. These two hospitals will open for servicing ethnic people in the province soon.
