SET renews MoU with Korea Exchange to foster regional collaboration

BANGKOK, Feb 6 (TNA) -- The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) on Monday signed the renewal of memorandum of understanding (MoU) to continue the synergized efforts on capital market development and business opportunities between the two exchanges, including products and services development, IT infrastructure cooperation and information exchange. SET President Kesara Manchusree and KRX Chairman and CEO Jiwon Jung signed the renewal of MoU which was first established in 2012 for cooperation on various services. The renewed agreement will be effective until February 4, 2023. Both stock exchanges look to continue cooperation on exchanging information and IT infrastructure improvement. They have created linkages in capital investment and new business opportunities. One of the highlights of the agreement is LIVE Platform for Startups, which provides more effective tools of startups to generate funds. Earlier, SET and KRX established a clearing solution to facilitate businesses and investors and boost SET’s ability to connect with other clearing houses in Indochina. Ms Kesara said she expected at least 10 companies to utilize the new platform which resembled KRX Startup Market. (TNA)
