PM unconcerned over Shinawatra siblings appeared in Beijing

BANGKOK, Feb 12 (TNA) -- Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha said that he has no comments about fomer prime ministers Thaksin Shinwatra and his sister Yingluck was in Beijing after the pair were photographed in the Chinese capital. Gen Prayut stated that it was the responsibility of the agencies concerned to bring them back to face punishment in Thailand. In the past, some extraditions have been successful while other have not. The premier stated that he didn't understand why anyone would be interested in criminals and that the media had a big part in the matter. If reporters want to give attention to the pair then it was up to them. Meanwhile, Foreign Minister Don Pramudwinai told reporters that at the moment, the ministry has not taken any move as there were other responsible agencies actively involved. Furthermore, Mr Don stated that the Foreign Ministry has received no official notification only casual internal reports. (TNA)
