World champion Srisaket becomes sports ambassador

BANGKOK, Feb 28 (TNA) - Tourism and Sports Minister Weerasak Kowsurat appoints WBC super-flyweight champion Srisaket Nakornluang Promotion as the Thai sports ambassador for his world-class capability and contribution to the national reputation. Srisaket and his delegation met Mr Weerasak at the Tourism and Sports Ministry on Ratchadamnoen Avenue in Bangkok on Feb 28 for the appointment. After the meeting, Srisaket said he was glad to build a good reputation for the country and make Thai people happy. He also said that the minister encouraged him to keep practices and maintain his reputation to continuously be a good model and inspiration for general people. Srisaket said his success resulted from his hard practices. Minister Weerasak said Srisaket deserved to be the Thai sports ambassador for his great capability and contribution to the national reputation. As the ambassador, Srisaket would help promote many international sports events that Thailand would host this year, the minister said. (TNA)
