Speaker praises security authorities

Manama, Mar. 3 (BNA): Speaker of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed bin Ibrahim Al-Mulla, has lauded the efforts of the Interior Ministry and security authorities, led by Minister, Lieutenant-General Shaikh Rashid bin Abdulla Al Khalifa, to safeguard security and stability, protect the lives of citizens and residents and preserve the landmark national gains, capabilities and civilisational achievements attained by the kingdom under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa. Al-Mulla affirmed the parliamentary support for the security authorities, and their responsible patriotic role in fighting, confronting and preventing criminality, praising the Interior Ministry’s advanced security preparedness and professionalism. The success of the security authorities in arresting a 116-member terrorist organisation proves the Interior Ministry’s ability to track down terrorist in Bahrain and abroad, he said. The speaker stressed that the acts of those who support the terrorist groups through training, financing and incitement are rejected legally and internationally, noting that the recent security operation show that the terrorist acts and conspiracies staged against Bahrain by known parties still continue. Al-Mulla urged the International Community to counter terrorism and face those backing it, as well as to overtly expose those sides who are seeking to spread chaos and sedition, and to pay no heed to all laws, conventions and norms. He stressed that the Council of Representatives will counter, with full force and resolve, all attempts to put the kingdom’s security and stability at risk, noting that Bahrain’s Legislative Branch will continue strengthening the role of parliamentary diplomacy to expose the practices of terrorist groups against the Kingdom’s security and stability. The speaker expressed confidence in the Bahraini people’s keenness on its national unity, and on rallying behind the leadership as the best means to face whoever seeks to subvert security and civic peace in the country, calling on parents to safeguard their children and the Bahraini youth from groups, networks and platforms that mislead and deceive them in order to become tools to destroy their nation and society.
