National Ambulance Centre hailed

Manama, Mar.3 (BNA): The Supreme Council for Health (SCH) convened for its periodic monthly meeting, chaired by Lieutenant-General Dr. Shaikh Mohammed bin Abdulla Al-Khalifa.
The session was attended by Health Minister Faeqa bint Said Al-Saleh, SCH members and secretary-general Ibrahim Al-Nawakhda.
The SCH chairman paid tribute to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa, His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister for supporting the health sector.
He hailed the royal decree which was issued by HM the King on establishing and structuring the National Ambulance Centre, affiliated with the Minister of Interior.
Officials representing the Ministry of Interior gave a presentation, updating the session on equipment as well the executive plan for ambulance services and rapid response to medical emergencies.
The session commended the oversight role played by the National Health Regulatory Authority (NRHA) to control services and ensure the competence of the health personnel, in addition to scrutinizing the licensing procedures.
The panel discussed the proposed National Insurance Scheme, which was referred to the Legislative Branch of Government, expressing the hope that the project would be fast-tracked.
NHRA Chief Executive Officer Dr. Mariam Al-Jalahma delivered a presentation updating the session on the measures which were taken by the disciplinary committees.
