HRH Premier urges national unity

Manama, Mar. 6 (BNA): His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa urged all efforts to be mustered to spearhead national development and progress. He stressed the necessity of putting vital national interests above all other considerations, urging cooperation between all segments to serve the nation and achieve desired goals. This came as he received a number of Royal Family members and officials to discuss domestic issues and Government-led efforts to ensure stability and premium services and achieve the royal directives of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa. The Premier said that sincere and genuine national work should transcend all self-interest and focus on serving the homeland and its people. He warned against the scourge of terrorism, which does not only destroy societies through armed conflicts but it also sparks divisions and internecine strife within the community. He stressed the need to preserve genuine values which have long marked Bahraini citizens down the generations so as consolidate national unity and further strengthen social cohesion. He paid tribute to fathers and forefathers whose acts and achievements remain engraved in Bahraini collective memory and provide the coming generations with inspiring lessons of patriotism and dedication to serve the homeland. HRH the Premier commended the role played by the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), as a pivotal institution, in revitalizing the trade activity and supporting efforts to spur growth. He wished the BCCI affiliates every success in the forthcoming board elections, hoping the polls would be held in a civilized way that reflects the chamber’s heritage and long-standing history.
