AGU academician wins Venus Medical Award 2018

Manama, Mar. 12 (BNA): Assistant Professor of Public Health at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences at AGU, Dr Salman Hamad Al Zayani, won the Venus International Medical Award for Excellence in Community Medicine 2018, awarded by the Venus International Foundation based in Chennai, India, in recognition of his efforts in Community Medicine and Public Health. The award aims to honour professors and scientists from various specialisations and fields of knowledge for their contributions and efforts in the service of the sciences and humanity. Several professors from universities and other medical and educational institutions compete from around the world, and the candidate applications were evaluated by two committees of specialists in various fields. The award winners will be honoured at an international conference in Chennai in April.
