TAT launches “Enjoy Local” campaign to promote secondary tourist destinations

Bangkok, March 27 (TNA) – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has launched the “Enjoy Local” campaign to promote secondary tourist destinations, expecting the movement will distribute at least 10 billion baht to communities. TAT governor Yuthasak Supasorn said the Enjoy Local campaign was intended to increase tourism in 55 provinces by 20% this year. According to him, the campaign focuses on the promotion of tourist attractions and community lifestyles in the provinces and should have a significant effect within six months. It should send at least 10 million tourists to the provinces. The Enjoy Local campaign is also conducted through the mobile application named “Trippointz” that presents tourism-related information in Thailand. With the app, tourists can plan their trips with available information on tourist destinations, restaurants and accommodations. Users of the application software that is compatible with Android and iOS operating systems can win special prizes and privileges. (TNA)
