PM orders officials to study Singapore as model

BANGKOK, April 28 (TNA) -- Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha has ordered Thailand team based in Singapore to carefully study and use the models practised in that country, particularly on employment and orderly system, and implement them in Thailand. Gen Prayut is now attending the 32nd ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) Summit in Singapore. His order was made Friday during his discussions with Thailand team stationing in Singapore. He reportedly ordered the officials to also study how Singapore has advanced so that it can be used in the kingdom in which his government has mapped out six national strategic plans and 11 agendas for reform. Gen Prayut later attended a dinner hosted by his Singaporean counterpart Lee Hsien Loong before participated in the 32nd ASEAN Summit. ASEAN government leaders discussed three major issues during the plenary session. The issues focused on sustainable development, how to cope with aging society and ways to promote Cyber security in the ASEAN region. (TNA)
