First test train on South-West international transport route successfully completes its journey

Baku, May 10, AZERTAC The first test container train on the South-West international transport route from Poland’s Slawkow station has already reached Astara (Iran) station and proceeded in the opposite direction. The operator of the test is ADY Container LLC, a subsidiary of "Azerbaijan Railways" CJSC. Through joint cooperation between ADY Container LLC with Switzerland’s Hupac Intermodal, this container train completed 2356km within 9 days, travelling 399km through the territory of Poland, 965km through Ukraine, 396km through Georgia, and 596km through Azerbaijan and Iran. The train was equipped with a GPS system that allowed to track its movement along the route.
