Thai Lao health collaboration

LOEI, May 11 (TNA) -- Thai and Lao border provinces intensify cooperation on communicable diseases prevention along border area. Public health officials from Thailand’s Loei province and Laos’ Xayaburi and Vientiane provinces met in a workshop in Loei city on Thursday. Main topics were surveillance measures against communicable diseases in the common border areas and exchange their experiences of disease control. Head of Loei public heath office Wiwat Kowiriyakamol said the meeting also reviewed an agreement sing in 2016 and update on their joint operation. The participating cities have held the annual meetings since 2012 and consistently expanded their public health cooperation. (TNA)
