Azerbaijan, Pakistan discuss prospects for deepening trade cooperation

Baku, May 11, AZERTAC Azerbaijani ambassador to Pakistan Ali Alizade met with Afghanistan’s Federal Minister for Commerce Pervaiz Malik to discuss prospects for the deepening trade cooperation between the two countries. The ambassador hailed the friendly and brotherly relationship between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. They exchanged views over the prospects for enhancing economic and commercial relations, and noted the significance of effectively using the existing potential in this area. They stressed the important role of both businessmen and economic authorities in developing bilateral relations and mulled over the intensification of business forums, business meetings. They underlined the necessity of stepping up efforts to increase trade between the two countries. The ambassador lauded the favorable conditions created for foreign investors, hailing the fact that Pakistani businessman can benefit from transportation corridors, industrial camps, investment parks, manufacturing facilities and other economic and commercial opportunities. Organizing reciprocal visits and improving the legal framework was also discussed during the meeting.
