Line stickers gain popularity in Thailand

BANGKOK, June 8 (TNA) – Line sticker download in Thailand grew more than 50 per cent in the first quarter of this year, said Line Thailand. Kanop Supmanop, sticker business director of Line Thailand reported Line sticker download in Thailand grew 52 per cent in the first quarter of this year and the number of sticker buyers increased by 28 per cent to the world’s highest. The figures show that Thai users like to communicate through Line stickers. The number of stickers available for download increased seven folds and they are easily to buy through various channels. Among the most popular stickers are name stickers, character stickers of in the mega hit drama series, Bup Phaeh San Nivas” (Love Destiny) and BNK 48 stickers. Globally, there are 1.5 million creators and 1.3 million sets of creators’ stickers. Thai creators account for 340,000 persons. Line Thailand will promote Thai creators’ stickers to be sold overseas and will boost sales domestically by adding 15 more characters. Cute character stickers are popular among Line users. In Japan, people like unique characters with gimmicks while in Thailand, stickers, related to drama series gain the most popularity. In Taiwan, most users like animal characters. (TNA)
