Tree Planting Project in Northeast

LOEI, June 30 (TNA) - A drone designed for sowing plant seeds from the sky is deployed in the Royal Thai Army’s project to grow forests in Loei province in Northeastern Thailand. Over 300 Army officers and volunteers gathered on Friday at the launch of the project in Dan Sai district aiming to rehabilitate infertile land. They prepared about 3,000 saplings of many types of plants for the project. The piece of land had been encroached by illegal business and recently been confiscated. A local farmer Jirawat Jinnatongpim uses his drone to sow seeds of plants. With net load capacity of 35 kilograms, it is said to be the largest drone for agricultural use in Thailand. Jirawat said the drone was intended to go to inaccessible and remote part of the project area. (TNA)
