-TURKISH RED CRESCENT CHAIRMAN MEETS HEAD OF ISRAEL'S NATIONAL AID ORGANIZATION
TEL AVIV (A.A) - 09.03.2009 - Tekin Kucukali, head of Turkish aid organization Kizilay (Red Crescent), paid Sunday a visit in Tel Aviv to Noam Yifrach, chairman of Magen David Adom (MDA), Israel's Red Star of David, the national emergency medical, disaster, ambulance and blood bank organization of the country.
Kucukali thanked Yifrach for their help in conveying Turkish aid to Gaza and asked their support to Turkish Red Crescent for sending prefabricated shelters to Gazan people.
"Aid organizations should stand away from politics," Kucukali said.
"We heard that you treated Palestinian people and we are very pleased with it," he said.
Oh his part, Yifrach said his organization was helping Palestinian people despite the Israeli government. Yifrach said MDA had no ties with the Israeli government and were in good relations with Palestinian Red Crescent.
