Chuwit releases from prison

BANGKOK, July 21 (TNA) -- Chuwit Kamolvisit, an outspoken television show host and ex-leader of the now-defunct Rak Prathet Thai Party, is released from jail on Saturday after serving a one-month prison term on charges of submitting a false assets declaration to National Anti-Corruption Commission. Expressing his joy, Mr Chuwit told journalists that he prepared to east seafood and breath fresh air after leaving the Bangkok Remand Prison. The tycoon and formerly Thailand’s major massage parlours owner said he had been in and out of the prison third time now and wished that he would not return there in future. Looking healthy, Mr Chuwit said he spent his time at the prison by eating food punctually, doing exercise and looked fit because he neither smoke nor drink alcohol. Asked whether would return as TV show host, Mr Chuwit said he would decide the issue next Monday. The former politician was sentenced to one-month imprisonment by the Supreme Court’s Criminal Division for Holders of Political Positions on charges of submitting false assets declaration while serving as elected member of the Lower House.
