Sumo Programme for persons with Down syndrome continues

Manama, July 23 (BNA): In the context of supporting and meeting the needs of the youth, Youth City 2030 continues holding (Sumo Programme) that focuses on developing skills of persons with Down syndrome. Youth and Sports Affairs Minister Hisham bin Mohammed Al Jowdar praised the interest of Representative to HM the King for Charity Works and Youth Affairs, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports, President of Bahrain Olympic Committee, HH Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, in promoting persons with special needs and initiatives to support them. He said the Sumo Programme continues in line with HH Shaik Nasser’s directives following the programme big success made last year.  The minister said this year’s programme has attracted bigger number of participants, noting the officials’ keenness to develop the activities of the programme to add new skills to tackle that assist in enhancing the participants' vocational capabilities.
