Bangkok’s new terminal for inter-provincial vans

BANGKOK, Aug 1 (TNA) – State-run Transport Co officially opened its new terminal for inter-provincial vans. Jirasak Yaowatsakul, President of Transport Co, said his state enterprise relocated all inter-provincial vans from the Mo Chit 2 terminal to the new facility that opened from 3am to 10pm. The new terminal consists of five buildings. The public relations building provides travelers and operators with useful information. Building A gathers 670 vans on 29 northern and northeastern routes. Building B is for 1,244 vans on 41 routes in the Central Plain. Building C is the place of 976 vans on 50 eastern routes. Building D is for 604 vans on 29 southern routes. There are also platforms for 144 bus gates. The new and modern terminal for inter-provincial vans covers an area of about 30 rai. There are 12 ticket booths and clear signs in each building for travelers’ conveniences. Only people with tickets can enter the inside area of the new terminal. Transport Co deploys shuttle buses between the Mo Chit 2 terminal and the nearby van terminal for travelers who were unaware of the newly opened terminal, Mr Jirasak said. (TNA)
