Survey:Younger generations keen on more higher-priced products

BANGKOK, August 6 (TNA) - A research center under Supalai Public Company Limited (Supalai), a top Thai property development firm, says its recent survey found that younger generations in the country, aged 21-47 years old, were more keen on purchasing higher-priced products, namely houses and cars, than the elder generations. According to the survey report, released by the Supalai research center, most of a total of 1,000 samples in the group of younger generations revealed that they had bought such higher-priced products as houses, townhomes, condominiums and cars over the past five years or intended to buy over the next five years. The survey found that samples in the elder generations, aged 48-55 years old, had bought less of such the higher-priced products or intended to purchase less of the more expensive products over the next five years in a significant range. The recent survey also found families that earn middle-to-high income levels had bought the more expensive products, especially cars, more than families that earn low income levels in a significant range.
